NAD Receiver problems

I have a NAD AV760 receiver that started relay clicking too many times when turning it on until it got to the point that it would just click like 10 times a second and just keep going until I unplugged it. It has been stored for a few years, I just got it out and tried it and it won't even click at all now. I might note that it is a 230 volt 50 hz model that I'm using a step up transformer to go from US 120 volts to 220 volts. This is the same one I've used for years before it started having problems and it's still showing 224ish volts on my Fluke meter. I really liked the way it sounded when it worked and I miss it. Anyone have any ideas what the problem might be? If I can't figure it out I'm going to find a repair shop to fix it I suppose. And by the way, the display works fine and has never been a problem...Thanks for any suggestions...
