well, i just read the "Secrets of Amplifier and Speaker Power Requirement Revealed" at www.ecoustics.com main page, and after read that article, there is a lot of thought came into my mind, we used to know that some of the high end Multimedia speaker like Klipsch and Logitech able to reach a spl level of slightly more than 110db, and from what the article told, my setup (Mission M74 and a receiver of Marantz SR4300 80watts) just can't match the loudness output from these satellite/sub combo from Klipsch or Logitech?...and i have some confusion about the volume setting on my marantz receiver, whenever i turn up/down the volume knob, there is the reading of db keep increasing/decreasing, what's that means.?.the SR4300 able to go to +18db the most, and is that means when i set the volume of this receiver at 0db, i am getting the reference output.?.
i would be greatly appreciate if you guys can helps me clear this confusion...thanks
