More important may be peramp compatibility? Electrical as well as 'tonal' or 'presentation'.
Kind of depends on what you listen for in music.
At the price point of this amp it is VERY competitive.
For example: For the same $$, I bought 2 stereo power amps of lesser power. I put one behind each of my bi-amp able speakers.
Classe would be nice, but I'm not a personal fan of Rotel. Not current on Marantz or Cambridge, though I do own a CA DACMagic+ and once owned a CD840, which was a monster.
Reviews are kind of iffy, too. Unless you can 'clock' the reviewer, I don't know what most of 'em mean, except they generally like what they review. Few really 'awful' reviews.
Let everyone know if you hear differences over the first 25 or 50 hours of use.
