Hey everyone im Eric, im new to this site. I have a klh R5100 surround reciever in my room. i was looking at the back today and saw 6ch direct input. can somone please tell me what this is and how can i use it. it looks almost like rca cables go in it. is there a advantage to use this over 5.1? thanks alot!! That can be used with an external decoder (rare and not interesting), a DVD-player with it's own decoders (could be better quality than the decoders of the receiver) and most important with DVD-Audio and SACD players.
