Hi,

I own the Audiovector S3 Signature speakers with the Moon i1 amp + i1 cd player.

I think the weakest link is the i1 amp, sometimes I feel the amp cannot handle my speakers, at louder passages the sound becomes little harsh and uncontrolled.

Could anyone give me an advice what amp will sound nice on my S3 signatures and moon 1 cd player?

I've never heard of your speakers. Do you have a link to any technical information?

Gee, what a tremendous help that was. There are no "S3" speakers listed. There is a "Si 3 Signature". Is that what you own?

If so, the webpage appears to offer no technical information about the speakers, not even a nominal impedance or a sensitivity spec. I'll take your word for what you've provided but you need to know the lowest/highest impedance point, the frequency or frequencies where they occur and the electrical phase angle of the system at that same frequency or the highest phase angle the speaker hits. Without information, there's no way to help you make a technically good decision about amplifiers. Why don't you try the manufacturer's own forum?

I did but all they say is if you like the timbre of your system it is ok.

I will ask my dealer about the technical specs.

The Si3 is a tweaked version of the S3.

thanks for your help
