i realized that some of the little parts that appears at yamhah web site:
http://www.yamaha.com/YECDealerMedia/
, isn't located at my a s-500 AMP:
in my amp, there is only 2 little square black chips (beside the heatsink) on each side, istead 4 in each side that you can see at there photo in the web side.
moreover also is missing more 2 white chips. - instead of 4, my amp. have 2.

please, if somone have the amp. at home, please have contact with me - i can also send the photo and you will see the electronic parts that it have in it,,,

my board looks exactly like this - http://news.hifi023.com/audio/20100930/103930.html

it written there - as 300 0 this is review in Japanese about a s-300

.

You need to get a grip on reality. It doesn't matter what is or isn't in the chassis or what is or isn't in photo. Get over it and enjoy the d*mn music.

My question is, if this "a s-300" board and parts also located in the a s-500 amp. , if someone is owner of Yamaha a s-500 and have one at his home he can look in it and have comparison..

I am waiting to yours response.

Thanks,

Amir.

.

Manufacturers use large boards and stuff them accordingly with comoponents which make up several models. What you are seeing is not unusual.

Sorry, I don't care to play. If you have a problem, take it up with the retailer from whom you purchased the amp. There is no problem I can detect.

I was going to post something very similar when I first saw this post and thought better of it. Now that I see it in writing I have to say that I agree whole heartedly! Enjoy the amp or take it back. We are not willing join in your conspiracy theory.

Tell me if your 2 big capacitors in the back of the amplifier look like the 300 or the 500?

Check if your power output drain the same current as 2 parts by searching the part number, sometime they change 2 parts for a new part which is stronger.

I agree with those guys but look for the caps!

The photo in the manual or on the website is being used as an example of a design they are using. It's not a photo of your amp model. But if you notice the layout is probably similar to the photo just scaled down. The photo is from there top end model using this design approach.

There is no fraud here. Just someone misunderstanding a manufactures advertising intent.
