As per Radio Shack Corporate I recieved the following email:
"Thank you for your email: In checking, the Analog Sound Level Meter (cat. no. 33-2050) was discontinued as a stock item at the warehouse in August, 2003, and is no longer available. Currently, we carry the Digital-Display Sound-Level Meter (cat. no. 33-2055). This is a store stock item. You should be able to purchase it from the local RadioShack store. Or, you may order it online or through the Order Center at 1-800-843-7422, option 2."
Thought everyone might want a heads up.

Thanks for the info. This is bad news as the analog meter was great and very inexpensive. Glad I bought one 5 years ago.

Yes it is bad news, especially for those of us just getting into this. I guess there are others out there but not for the price of the RatShack.

Check around at your local stores. I just bought one today for $35. In fact the two Shacks I visited both had them in stock. They were selling them for the same price, but one had a clearance tag on it and the other didn't.
Works great btw! Interesting that the NAD T752 manual recommends this meter by model number.

I got one on sale for $25 in July. $35 Doesn't sound like a clearance price to me. But like Adam said, you better act fast because when they're gone that's it.

Yeah, I was a little irritated when I saw the one at the second Shack also for $35 but without any kind of clearance designation. Oh well, beats the $50 they're asking for the replacement model.
