Hello!
I am setting up a home theater, and planning to go with Marantz SR7002 Receiver.

I am considering Paradigm Atom v5 or Wharfedale Diamond 9.2 speakers together with their sub-woofer. But when I went to Paradigm website I read about their new line of Cinema series. Does anyone have any experience? I will be using this system mostly for video and some music.

My budget is around 800$ for speakers and 1K for receiver + blue-ray player.

THanks

Take the Wharfedale Diamond series, they sound considerably better.

Agreed ... also see if you can hunt down a psb dealer. They also make good sounding speakers that are an easy listen imho.

The Diamonds will smoke the Atoms, as well as the Cinema's. Take the Diamonds.

Without hearing the Atoms to compare, I know how good the Wharfedales are. Unless the Atom setup is better than the guys say so far (not likely), then the Wharfes are the best of that lot.

I was unhappy with the sound of the cinema series when i heard them at a local dealer. I could hear a ton of cabinet resonance. They are a slight step up from htib speakers, and that is not really saying much.
