Hi everybody

I have a pimped hifi chain set up in my bedroom. In the chain i have 6 speakers wired to an amplifier. I have wired the speakers correctly so that i do not have any impediance issues (2 in serie, one parallel).

This setup is useless unless i add some extra power into the chain.
My question now; how do i add this extra power?

1. can i simply put an extra amplifier in the chain?
it would look like this: ipod - amp - amp - speakers

2. do i have to split my speakers over 2 amps?
result: ipod going to 2 seperate amps going to seperate speakers.

3. are there any other options?

please help!

.

You cannot parallel the outputs of one amplifier to the inputs of another.

they wouldn't be parallel, it would be a series circuit if the output of one amp goes in the inputs of the other amplifier.

Is this impossible? would your amp be broke after a while?

.

You cannot series connect the outputs of one amplifier to the inputs of another. Both amps will be broken in short order.
