No sound for my DVI Gameswitch

I just bought a Gameswitch for PS3 (http://cache.kotaku.com/assets/resources/2007/05/gameswitchps3.jpg) and it works great but i get no sound. I have a DELL 2209WA ULTRASHARP 22# WIDE TFT TCO-03 monitor. And my Speakers are Logitech Computer Model: X-240. Why cant i get any sound? i have tried every possible way with my cables but i cant get the sound working. This is my setup http://web78143620.w3.ebadu.net/ken/laomu/dvigameswitch_5.jpg I dont understand why they point the audio cable at the monitor, my monitor dont have any inputs for audio.
