I have 2 floor standing speakers and a subwoofer, all of which are relatively low power. I need an amp to put it all together but cant seem to find one that takes 2 speakers and a sub.

If I bought a 5 channel amp can i just use 3 channels one of which is the sub?

.

Seems a waste of money to do so. You only want a stereo amp? There are numerous models available. What's your budget?

The the sub passive (meaning there is no built-in amplifier) or powered? If the sub has it's own amp, all you need is a half decent 2 channel receiver or integrated amp.

Does the sub have a cord to plug into a wall socket?

Does the sub have speaker binding posts? If so, you're in....and can use virtually any stereo receiver that strikes your fancy.

Well they are spring clips.

I've picked one of these up for £25 from ebay,

Rear view is 1st image down the left column, I just want to play music through a 3.5mm jack, a phono cable through aux1/2 will work fine right?
