Hello, hoping you can help me with this problem:
I have a Denon PMA-880R amplifier but I lost the remote. The mute/standby light stays on and there is no sound coming out no matter what input I have it in. Is there a way to unmute it without a remote or do you know how to make it work so I can hear sound?

Thanks~
Jon

.

Try a universal remote with Denon codes included. Remotes are rather generic in that many manufacturers buy the same chipset for their remotes and adjust very little to their specific component. Most universals would therefore be likely condidates for your use.

You can also buy a replacement remote from any Denon service center.

This reminds me of the Bose 901's with the "lost" equalizer. We were constantly asked where to find a new eq. The stock answer? "Next time, don't forget the equalizer on your way out the window." I'm sure that isn't the case with your amp, Tiny.

I am all too familiar with the concept of bugging out and missing remotes...
