hi. i have been reading thru a lot of the reciever posts and i figured i would post what i have and see if anyone had time to give me suggestions on a new reciever.
most of this is about 7 yrs old but i only have the money to replace the reciever.
Kenwood kr-v7080 reciever this is what i want to replace my front speakers are cerwin vega with 12" woofers,midrange and tweeter on each tower
i also had bought a 6 piece cerwin vega set of 10" powered sub,4 pc surround, center speaker
my dvd player is a toshiba sd 4800 about 4 months old
my tv is toshiba hdtv if that matters
so im looking to spend 400 bucks give or take
my living room is 20x22 and 80 percent of my time is watching movies
so thanks for your suggestions.

$400 is a tough price point. If you can stretch just a bit, my suggestion would be to check out the Marantz 5300 which you can get from accessories4less.com for $429.99. Nice receiver which will have a much smoother sound than your Kenwood.
