Not to take anything away from the quality of the documentary, which is top notch, but, the guy is in this position because of his own doing. Apparently when his store was in operation his prices and availability to the general public was ludicrous. I have friends who tried to buy fairly common albums and were quoted $30 and $40 dollars for albums that would typically be 5-10. Some of the other dealers in the Pittsburgh area, Jerry Weber included (Jerry's records), detest the guy and his business practices. If you do a little searching on the net it doesn't take long to find some stories of bad experiences with Recordrama.

If the guy managed to pisss off the competition over those decades, then he is a businessman.
Making a living for that amount of time is really something.
Is Jerry ticked that the LOC didn't visit HIS basement?

Point taken! Still, the interaction between Mawhinney and the general public is well documented.

Two other cool videos are the Pack Rats show featuring Mawhinney and Jerry's collection.

The Jerry's link has 3 parts to the video. Both of these are really cool ways to waste time.
