I have a passive sub hooked up to an old kenwood stereo integrated amp (KA-99) and it only sends out full range signals. I have assumed crossover or treble blocker as a solution but do not know how to choose or how to install...The driver is out of a JBL TLX PS10 sub if that helps...the amp is fried so i took out the driver...if someone know how to remove the crossover device out of the plate amp that would work too...also i need something after the signal has been sent out of the receiver because i have some jbl bookshelfs hooked up as well and i obviously want full signal from them

.

Buy an "inexpensive" plate amp and don't bother trying to jerryrig something together.

Gawd yes, make it easy.
Send your drivers specs to partsexpress and let them recommend.

You have researched this driver enough to know it's specs, yes?

Yes, i have researched this but thats not a truly cheap fix...i got a treble blocker and if it doesn't work as good as i wood like then i will invest in a new amp
