We use Bose Lifestyle Roommate speakers connected to an Airport Express to give easy home audio. These are the small self powered speakers.
One of my units has stopped making any sound. . I have swapped the power line (includes a brick) with another unit as well as the cable connecting to the airport box. Is there a typical failure point on these units that anyone knows of? Is there a fuse in there? Out of warranty so I'm about to open it up.
Solved it. This speaker has a data ribbon cable connected to the internal amp. When it was assembled they left too little slack in the cable. In moving it the speaker grille flexed and pushed against this cable and dislodged it. Opened it up, gave it more slack and reconnected. And it works
