In-wall speakers on the cheap

I have a Bose receiver with two small (3.5" x 8") Bose speakers. I think the sound is really good. We recently moved and I want to add in-wall speakers. I see so many brands it is confusing: Acoustic Audio, Polk (had in past and liked them), Kevlar, Goldwood Home, RBH Sound, etc. Advice? I want to spend $150 or less for the pair (spent all my $$ on the house!)

.

Shop at a store that has some speakers installed in-wall for audition. If you can't hear them, don't buy them. But don't be all that concerned about sound quality of in-walls. You don't spend time sitting down to listen in rooms with in-wall speakers. They are used as background music and that's all they need to provide.

Also, check the Bose receiver will work with other speakers. Quite often Bose has eq'd their output specifically for their small speakers and a Bose receiver sounds very unlike other systems when playing through other company's speakers.
