Hello,

I am looking for a center for the Paradigm Studio 20s v4. I am wondering what would be the best route to go out of the cc470v3, cc570v3 or a cc590v4. I would assume the cc590v4 would match the best, but they are very hard to find used. Would a cc470v3 or cc570v3 still match well? It is mainly used for surround sound sources (movies, games, etc)

Thanks

An easy answer to your question is YES. All of the Studio Series center channels would be perfect timbre match for your Studio 20's. All of the three models you listed are very good.

Aww man, are you going to put Studio 20's in a HT?

Thats a shame, because I like them so much as a standalone stereo pair.

Seriously Nick! I read a review in Stereophile that indicated that Paradigm recommends that the speakers were designed with the grills as an integral part of their sound. I did some pretty lengthy comparisons between grills off and on, and they did indeed (to me) sound much better with them on.

I thought you meant to keep them off in case of kids poking in the tweeters.lol.

The Monitor series sound much better with grills on too. Wierd eh? Interesting though.

That too Nick! My Sttafs and my Atoms have both fallen victim to my daughter's curious fingers.

Studio 20's with an RA-02 and a streamer and call it a day.
Maybe in the sunroom...
With a beer fridge...

I've heard the setup of the mids and tweeter on the cc470 can cause problems when off axis and that the 570/590 fixes that with the mid/tweeter on top of each other. Is this noticeable?
