Can anyone recommend some really good speakers for 2 channel stereo music only? I am currently running a harman kardon hk3480 and a set of polk rti8's and find them too bright and fatiguing. Yes I know a lot of you will say polk is trash but.... I read a lot of reviews about the lsi series.

Would the polk lsi series be the best choice? If not, i would appreciate some other recommendations . I want a set of warm sounding speakers I can listen to for long periods of time without fatigue to my ears. Budget is 1,000 dollars. Might go a bit higher...

I own an HK3485 and consider it fairly uncolored, so I don't think it's your amp; what is your source?

The Paradigm Studio 20v.5 & Monitor Audio GS10 would be on my short list in the slightly more than $1K category, and there are several others on the other side of $1K that are well worth considering, the Wharfedale EV02 & Diamond 10 (and 9) series are great options, as are the Monitor Audio RX (and RS) series, and the B&W 6-series.

But the Swan D2.1SE are particularly attractive and might represent the best deal going in the sub-$1K category from what I can tell, but I haven't heard them...yet.

But this is about you, what have you listened to?
