Hello everyone. I am new to the boards and had a question about my Bose 321 subwoofer. My system is 6 years old and has a problem with the internal piece of the subwoofer that connects the power cable to the circuit board. My cat chewed through the power cable and shorted it out (sparks/smoke and all!). I bought a new power cable from Bose, but when I plug it in, there are still sparks occurring at the adapter point still. The adapter(located on the circuit board)has a black mark (power spike) on it. How can I get this replaced? I only need the little adapter piece (I hope) I attached some pictures of the piece I need to replace. Any help would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks Nuck! The piece actually popped right off the board, so I think it will go back. My problem - is what is this burned up piece called and where do I order it? Of course, BOSE wants like $200 just to look at it and I don't want to pay that for this little piece.
Nuck, don't have solder experience, but it wouldnt' matter - the piece that needs to be soldered is burnt and not working. I need to get it replaced first.
I appreciate your help though. If anyone knows how to get this piece replaced, please let me know.
