ronnie | You know my speakers, my HK 325, and my sub. Would I notice that big a difference upgrading to HK 525 ? Another question, without the paper work, ho can I tell if my speakers are all that? The JBL Tower speakers cost me 600.00 about a year ago. I'm just curious. |

GT | I honestly don't know if you'd notice a big difference. Hawk and another guy who works at Cicuit City think the 525 is more dynamic, plus it has more power. I thought they'd be about the same. One thing for sure, it won't sound worse. Plus you'll get a backlit remote and bass management for the DVD-Audio/SACD inputs. So I guess the best answer is if you can afford it, go for it. How much more will it cost? ronnie | OK I'll take a look now. I was thinking about taking 325 back to CC. It has been a week or so since I bought it. I will get back somwhere around 600.00. I read that a 525 runs 645.00 over the net. What do you think? One thing is, I did get the 3 year warranty with this 325. Its a long story, they threw it in for the BS I went thru. I will look at speaker info now. Thanks again |

They're actually an authorized dealer. You can also get onecall.com or jandr.com to price match. Someone one this discussion area just bought one for that price. Maybe you can get CC to price match or come close. This model will be discontinued shortly so hopefully they'll be willing to deal. |

ronnie | Yes, those are the speakers. I reckon I will stick with em. They do sond pretty good. I was just wondering if there was a better match you know of. Did you say the 525 will be gone soon? Whats the replacement? |

GT | HK introduced the x30 line. They look pretty good and have a few added features. I think the replacement for the 525 would be the 630. It has assignable component video inputs, bass management for front, center, surround AND surround backs. Plus it has a LCD remote. The 230 is out now. Notice the unit is silver now instead of all black. |
