Van Morrison - His Band And The Street Choir

Tchaikovsky - "1812" Overture, Op. 49
Capriccio Italien, Op. 49
Cossack Dance from Mazeppa

TELARC Digital Stereo No. DG- 10041
vinyl

As an aside, the last time I tested my system by cranking out the 1812 I experienced about 20 - 25 milliseconds of loss of signal (volume) as the MAC recovered from the cannon blasts. Today the MAC played through the cannons, even the reverberation of each blast somewhat obscuring the orchestra's playing. I think that the wooden bases I added to my speakers as a result of Christopher Molloy's separate, https://www.ecoustics.com/cgi-bin/bbs/show.pl?1/529293, thread allowed me to hear all of the recording this time. The fact that my second story floor is no longer sucking half of the energy from my speakers made all the difference IMO.

Hi again Andre.

Harry Connick Jr. ; She

Not very good music for me, even on the tubes, not his better stuff.

I have Harry's:

Only You and Come by Me albums. I like them both, especially the Come By Me album but you need to like his style. His Sinatra voice is something any jazz/swing fan can appreciate. I haven't heard "She" but it's supposed to be New Orleans flavoured, his hometown.

Thanks Nuck. Will give it a listen and let you know what I think.

Ray Montford - A fragile Balance (180g vinyl) - This is a very sweet sounding album for those who like acoustic and electrical guitar...easy listening. I'd highly recommend it and say it is a reference recording.
In fact, Totem Acoustics is sighted by Ray on the back cover as making it possible...looks like they sponsored this Canadian artist.

Here's his website:

Neat stuff stryvn, I just picked up 65 new albums from a guy - all in pretty good condition, with some in very good shape. Walked away at under $1.50 a pop. Steely Dan - Aja, Pink Floyd- The Wall, some Led Zep, Rush - Signals and a bunch of 80's stuff.

On now...Fleetwood Mac, Rumors

Didn't have a big collection of stuff but now I've got some mass.
