Dealer is replacing tweeter in one of my Kef 104.2 speakers and has recommended a Rotel RA-1062 to replace my ailing Pioneer VSX-9500S receiver. The Kef's still sound great (will even better with the new tweeter) but I'd like opinions on matching them with the Rotel RA-1062. Thank you.

Give it a listen at the dealers and tell us what you think.

I agree with Art, but with one caveat...

bring your other speaker and listen to the Rotel on your Kefs.

Thanks for the input. I'll take the "good" Kef speaker in when the other one is repaired and have them hook it up to the Rotel. I've lost considerable amount of high end hearing in the last few years so I'm not sure what I'm going to be hearing but it's worth a trial run. Again thanks for the suggestion.

Whatever it is you'll be hearing is really what matters as it is you who will be listening to it. Let us know how it goes Durrell.

DC, I am familiar with high tone hearing loss, as are a few other members of advanced listening years or band damage.

I like Rotel, but don't know Kef.
Check out the Rotel cd1072 player as well.

Cheers
