Hello all again,
i think that i have found the right sound system for my needs and under $500. One consern that i do have is listed under "Prouduct Info" there is a bullet that reads: 2 HDMI Inputs and 1 Output (1080p Pass-thru). I have no clue what that means and was wondering if it could turn into a problem. Also, i was wondering what commments you guys could make on the quality and of the Onkyo systems.

Thanks as Ever

HDMI pass through means that audio can't be decoded from another HDMI source so you have to run a toslink (optical) or coaxial cable separately to the receiver.

I am not sure which Onkyo model you're considering, but I believe the Onkyo HT-SP904 supports the latest HDMI 1.3a standard for full audio/video compatibility.

i was actually considering the Onkyo HT-SR800 7.1 Home Theater Entertainment System. So, does this mean that if i purchase this system i have to also buy a seperate Cable?

Yes, you would need a separate cable for audio.

Did you see this review at CNET?
