Posted on I am planning on using my Harmon Kardon AVR 20 (60 watts x 2) as the preamp for my mains which will be powered by an amp. Does one of these work better the HK than the other, or is really about pairing speakers to the amp? |

Posted on The NAD 2100 is a pretty old amp (I used to have a 2150). Why these particular two choices? BTW, the 2150 was actually pretty good. |

Posted on I used to have 2 NAD 2100s. Pretty good amps but ran very hot and blew up during bi-amping. |

Posted on Mine ran pretty hot too. Were you using yours in a mono configuration when bi-amping JJ? |

Posted on I think I was Dave. I followed the manual and something went very wrong. It did startle me! So I stay away from bi-amping now. |

Posted on The problem with running amps bridged is that it essentially cuts the impedance load that the amp sees in half. Maybe this is what smoked your NADs. |
