Hi all! This is my first post on this forum.

I always wanted to get into analog but never had the opportunity. Now i'm in the process of finding my first turntable and cart. The budget is max $600 for both. I never had any experience with turntables so i'm a complete noob in this area.

Any advice would be most helpful.

My other components are the Rega Brio3 integrated (MM/MC high output) and Wharfedale Diamond 9.1 speakers connected with Supra Ply 3.4S speaker cable.

I listen to blues, jazz, rock and classic music.

Thank you all in advance!

Hi Nina, thanks for stopping by.
If you can afford/find a P3-24, you have what you need, I think.
Going easier on the wallet, A Rega P2 with the treatment of the outboad power supply is pretty good if had for a good buck.

Once you get the bug, it bites hard man.

You can also check out the Music Hall and Project stuff, Rega is pretty liberal with tt stuff, so a lot of options are out there still, thankfully.

In case you don't have a good dealer near you, you can often find good deals here:

I use them for buying cds and lps so I believe them to be dependable.
I got my Rega P3 from a dealer where it was a store demo unit which saved me money.

Thanks to all for replying! I looked at the entry level turntables and they don't seem to reliably built. At least compared to a technics turntable (1200mk2).

.

The Rega tables have been around, virtually unchanged, for over thirty years. What doesn't seem reliable?
