Yes it is a good receiver and works well with wharfedales. I have the Japan version (KRF-9070D) and it is a fantastic receiver. A great improvement over the 7060 or is that 7060? That one was forgettable and a disappointment.
I posted this thread after I posted the 5700 thread. While researching other receivers of this brand, I came across the "vr570" which I believed was different to the 5700 that I had already posted. I thought initially that the 5700 would be out of my price range given the msrp found on Kenwoods website, but then I found a refurbished one for < $500. This put it right in the range I wanted to stick with. The 5700 is definately worth the difference in price for the added features. Do you know if the 5700 has a feature like the "MCCAC" auto speaker setup function of the Pioneer receivers.
