I've got someone who is willing to sell me their Thorens TD160, which is very good condition for $150. It comes with a Shure M91ED. The turntable was left sitting around for about 15 years and has just been in use for the last 60 days. A few questions: What can I expect to have to fix? Unmodified how are these tables? What are the cheapest mods for biggest return in sound improvement? What if anything else should I be looking for in the price range? Thanks.
