I really like the sound of the upright bass.

I'd like to hear some of the songs I listen to a lot with the upright bass substituted, just to hear the overall result.

Substituted with what? An electric bass?

You want to remove the acoustic upright bass and replace it with an electric bass? Why would you want to do that?

This sounds like a job for........The Super Ray Brown !!!

I think he means use an upright bass instead of an electric bass, NMT.

I'd like to have all the vocals on all my discs substituted with Elvis and Cash - together - live - at Billy Bob's. That should make my Blossom Dearie recordings more interesting.

I'd like to hear my favorite rock/metal/classic rock recorded and engineered by the team that did Dark Side of the Moon.

Or by Naim.

Or by Linn.

Or by Mapleshade.

Or how about each title gets recorded and engineered by all of the above?

Is that too much to ask?

And each gets put on standard CD and 200 gram QSV vinyl.

I've recoded all my CDs so that the "0"s are substituted with "3"s.

Replace the electric bass with upright, but you'd have to be pretty good to make it sound cool.

Why would you want an uptight bass?
They are mean, often spit the hook and tend to be bony. Perhaps therapy for an uptight bass.


Oh, it was upright? I like that.
Watching them dance on their tails, splashing away...

I want free tickets to a Pink Floyd (w/Sid) / Led Zeppelin (original band) / Jimi / Janis / Doors (with Jim) / Elvis / Johnny / and Frank Concert.

Oh wait, let's put that one on hold for a while. I just realized that is my version of Woodstock Heaven. Yeah, that one can wait a bit.
