First off please forgive me for the post in the wrong section. I've tried several places elsewhere and got zero responses. I have a need for a component rack that can accommodate a minimum of 8 components with the possibility of 10 in the future. I just have too many players/recorders/receivers/equalizers, ect......

I'm looking for one rack to hold them all. Ultimately I would love to find a component rack with a built in power supply, thus eliminating my extension cord/power strip nightmare. Also on wheels because of my ever changing configuration and desire to access the rear of my components. I've tried searching....and searching.....and searching..... The best I get is a 5-6 shelf rack, without wheels.

Is there such a beast? I've been looking. I can build one to my liking but have grown far too lazy in my old age and would like to (cut to the chase) just buy it outright.

I bow down to your collective wisdom.......

The google ads I get are Aussie websites. Friggin' amazing how they do that.

Paul, sorry I can't help you, but I know exactly your problem and it's the same idea that's entered my head as well.

You could do a lot worse than Quadraspire. Not sure if they're available in your area but I do know they're available in most countries. Basically, you build the rack on a shelf by shelf basis. You can have different height shelves for different components, using lower shelves for slim items and higher shelves for larger ones such as AV receivers. You can also change configuration dependent on your needs by buying just the appropriate uprights. This is one of the most versatile rack-building systems I know of. They even have a 'product builder' that allows you to see what you're building online. Casters are an optional extra apparently, and the only thing not catered for in the product builder. Look under the Q4 product for the builder.

Frank.
