I have just found a Bendix model 697 turntable and I want to be able to plug in new equipment but all it has is a phono input, what could allow me to do this job? I found this http://www.mcminone.com/product.asp?catalog%5Fname=MCMProducts&product%5Fid=50%2 D7240
will it work? it says magnetic phono inputs and I don't think thats what something this old has, any input on if this would work or what would work would be greatly appreciatedhttp://www.mcminone.com/product.asp?catalog%5Fname=MCMProducts&product%5Fid=50%2 D7240

.

A phono input is a phono input. Though the phono section won't have an RIAA curve, it is meant only for low level phono inputs which require equalization to operate correctly. What you have linked to will only knock down the voltage level of the equipment in front of it, it will not allow you to plug a CD player into a phono input.

.

A ceramic cartridge has a much higher output voltage than a magnetic cartridge. It also has different requirements regarding impedance and capacitance.
