Inexpensive speakers?

I am a college student with a VERY limited budget ($100 max). I am looking for a pair of speakers to go along with my Denon AVR-1400 reciever. The speakers do not need to have thundering bass as I do not listen to that much dance music. It will mostly be used to play vinyl. I was also wondering if anyone has ever heard the SDAT hi-fi speakers that are on Over Stock for $81.00. It seems almost too good to be true, as they got great reviews. Thanks for the help.

You might want to get a pair of used speakers.

I'm not familiar with all the brands and types this site sells, but maybe someone on this forum will guide you.

Those Cerwin Vegas bring back many many fond memories. I still have them but the foam around the woofers has dry rotted and fallen apart. I wonder if it isn't time to get them repaired?

Anyways, Thanks Nout

The Mission M70 are an exceptional value & an excellent all-around performer, but the AR ARXP62 are the stand-out under $100 performer, IMHO.

I'd give my full recommendation to the Insignias. They are superior to most anything else in BB anyways.

The Insignias are the best BEST BUY has to offer, and they're very good, but the Missions are even better. The ARs are more versatile & better MAINS, IMHO.

The Polks are the real sleepers in the under $100 (actually under $50!) category. They are well worth a listen.
