I couldn't find any place to ask my question and I know you all are really smart when it comes to electricity/electronics. My question has to do with a GUITAR AMP. It has a 3 prong plug, however it is missing the lower thick prong which I believe is the grounding prong. Is it still safe to use the amp?

No. Somebody went and cut of the plug out of ignorance just to be able to play when they should not have. It seems that you had nothing to do with the removal of the ground plug so perhaps you were able to cop the amp cheaply. If you value your guitar take the time to hop over to the local hardware store buy a 3 prong plug and replace the existing plug. Or at least have someone do it for you. That or don't use the amp.

Don't play an outdoor show in the rain.
