North America make good speakers, with a lot more punch and bass... and have found that spks from europe are more suited for classic, jazz and related... being more on the high-end level and also far expensive..
Conculsion- NorthA speakers are more enjoyable, kickass type... and less money for good sound with a lot more depth.................(and durable also...)

and how did you come about this conclusion? MLs are made in the US and those are great for just about all music, so are magnepan. i am sorry but that is a really bad generalization of speakers.

Hey Shane, if you already knew the answer why did you ask the question?

Just one thing - you're wrong!

Both sides make good product and export to each other. There is something of a divide between the two since most speaker companies (and indeed specialist HiFi companies) are not global in size. For example, B&W is the biggest independant speaker manufacturer by turnover and their turnover is at least an order lower than the likes of Sony. This means the manufacturers have a 'local' take on their products.

Regards,
Frank.
