I have an old receiver, that the amp wont click on, there are 4 fuses near the amp on the inside, 2 near the relay and 2 near the transformer, but I discovered just recently that when I remove the 2 fuses near the relay, the amp clicks on, but I get no display, but when I put the fuses back, I get my display, but no sound or click from the relay. can anyone help me with this??

thanks for any help.

.

A technician probably could. The relay has probably gone bad and should be replaced. A technician can determine whether my guess is correct.

thanks jan, thats actually the same thing I was thinking, but I was hopeing it was just the fuse. But I do have the same model receiver for spare parts, Do you think I will be able to switch the relays out, I can do it myself, cause im really good in that area, and a tech said the same thing that you did, so I think I will check it out. thanks again.

Shawn, if you are good in that area, you wouldn't need to ask.
Solder the spare into place, you might want to use a solder sucker instead of a wick, considering spread.
Good luck.
