Last summer I bought teh marantz sr7500. Its amazing and I love it. My only complaint (not even a issue yet) is it doesnt have hdmi. Today for me to get hdmi is not that big a deal, when I got it, it was alot more money. This summer Im planning on getting a xbox360, and a 42" lcd, and probably a upconverting dvd player lol (thats a different argument). Im not in a position to go blow a grand or more on a new and another reciever, but, what are my options here? Will I be safe assuming my tv will have enough imputs that I can switch the high-def signels on the tv itself, and then use my reciever for audio only? For example plug my xbox in using vga or maybe better, and my dvd player using hdmi. The only other thing would be highdef digital cable. probably hdmi. My reciever has component switching so that is fine, its just vga and dvi that are the issue.

All you need is an HDMI switcher. I know of a couple, but there are a lot of them out there and more every day. Prices will be falling IMO, so if you aren't going to get the xbox until summer, I would get it then.
