currently use PSB image B25's w/cambridge 540A
cambridge 640C v2 and pro-ject debut lll with
audioquest interconnects
am thinking of upgrading speakers to either
the PSB stratus monitor or the paradigm studio 20 v3 or v4
was wondering on any thoughts on these possible choices.

thanks

Why those three? What's wrong with what you already own?

Agree with Jan, what is the reason you want to upgrade? Anything that you'd want to hear that is not present in your current setup?

Mitchell, people here in ecoustics normally gave recommendations/suggestions with reference to the overall system you have, it is very seldom that they compare products alone such as those speakers you mentioned.

ok point taken
what do you think of my system as it stands.
and would the two previously referenced speakers add any
overall sonic improvement?
or what speakers would provide synergy with the system i have.
would also consider other speakers.
jan-nothing per say is wrong with my speakers was just wondering if upgrading would make any noticeable diffrence.

.

If it ain't broke, don't fix it.

Speakers sound different from each other. You're going to have to tell us what you think would be an improvement. If you just want something different, then buy different speakers. If you don't and your present system sounds OK, don't spend money just because you have some to spend.

Not bad advice Jan.

I've been juggling & auditioning various mid-fi equipment for about 2-years, and I finally have an objective in my sights, it's taken me this long to determine what I like.

hey you guys THANKS again for "grounding" me a bit.
i am enjoying my system as it stands!
everything sounds smooth great seperation of insturments nice soundstange mids and bass.vocals present and upfront when needed.
the new cd player(cambridge 640C v2)seems to make a huge difference.and if breaking components in matters well it is not even close yet!probably only about 20 hours in.
the PSB's image B25's are here for a bit.
(just got caught up in the crazy need for more more more....thanks again)
