About the Polk Audio Rti10's...

If I were to buy these monsters would they run efficiently of a Yamaha HTR-5740 receiver? I have a Polk Audio 12 inch sub to go along with the rti10's.

would a Yamaha rx-v659 really do me any better? What could I do to really pump out some high power without breakin the bank? I believe my current receiver is rated at 85 watts per channel.

Tommy, you could get hold of a Behringer amp and apply the pre-outs of the Yammy.
Some of those amps are very powerful.

I believe the Rti's like lots of power.

Or shop the used end for something like a Rotel rb985 5 channel amp and bi-amp them.

Dude at the last church I went to they bought 4 18" Behringer subs with some Behringer amps to power them. My dad plays the drums and everytime he kicked it I could feel it no matter where I was!
Dude the auditorium seats like 5k people!
