I have a pair of home audio 15" speakers that have horn tweets built in and I was wondering if a bass blocker like one you would use in a car for tweets would work in the home audio application? I don't know much about the home audio stuff but I wanted to get feedback before I spliced the line. Any help will be appreciated.

There is no crossover on these speakers. A bass blocker is what you wire into the positive line of a tweet and it will block the bass signal from reaching the tweets therefore causing less stress on the tweet and much less distortion. The way these speakers are set up, the positive and negative lines coming into the box are spliced together and split between the woofer and the tweet so that the woofer is getting the high end signal and the tweet is getting the low end signal. I am just wanting to know if I could put the bass blockers from my car onto the tweets for the house and have the same results.
Maybe this link will help you understand what I'm referring to. http://www.hifisoundconnection.com/Shop/Control/Product/fp/vpid/1563308/vpcsid/0 /SFV/30046

Those look suspiciously like capacitors to me and the term "bass-blocker" is a bit simplistic. A capacitor will allow high frequencies to pass while attenuating lower frequencies. The point at which attenuation begins depends on the characteritics of the driver and the value of the capacitor being used.
The easy answer is; yes, they will work. The harder question is whether it will sound good.

Check the tweet and see if it says "motorola", it may be a piezo which doesn't require a cap/x-over/bass blocker.
