Greetings,
I'm looking to give my system a complete overhaul. First, my room size is 12x18x8 and I'd be using the system for 60/40 movies to music. Due to my space constraints and personal taste, I'm looking at bookshelf speakers only for the front. I'd like to start with a pair of Focus 140s or 110s with a NAD t743, and eventually get a center channel speaker, and some rears for a complete 5.1 system. I was just given a Dyn Sub 250 by my brother, and that's what got this whole ball rolling.
Anyways, I'd like to hear some suggestions on whether or not the T743 is a good match for the focus 140s, and if it will be enough to drive the system later on down the line.
Also, my CD/DVD is a Sony HDMI player. Should I look into purchasing a new DVD player, and if so, what are some quality brands that aren't too expensive(under 400)? I'm also looking for some quality speaker cables and interconnects that are first and foremost affordable.
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
