I am looking to purchase a A/V reciever to start my home theater system and need help deciding between the Yamaha 1400 and Onkyo 801. While I liked the Net Tunes feature in the Onkyo, I am debating getting the Yamaha since I have heard of problems with the Onkyo power supplies. Had a Yamaha years back with no problems, so am leaning towards the 1400. This is going to be matched with Boston Acoustics VR 50 speakers, so if anyone out there has any experiences to share with either of these recievers, would appreciate your input. Thanks

well i would say get the onkyo because i heard that if you pair those speakers with the 1400, the 1400 may be too bright. but then again the 1400 does not have the siginature bright and detailed sound i have come to love over the past years. basiclly if you can i would try them both and see how they will sound.
