NAD 762: Setting up Second Zone

I have the 272 connected to the Pre-Out to drive the two mains. Since I can't seem to do an A/B (the B leading to outdoor speakers)where each is controlled independently, I figured I'd try setting up a second zone. I have a hunch how this works, but would rather know for sure before having to contort myself to get behind the unit and start fiddling. Anyone? Thanks in advance.

Nuck...thanks again for the rapid response! Trouble is I'm still not clear on how to set this up. Presently the 272 is plugged into the pre-out to power the mains (from 272's L/R variable ins). Do I run the L/R variable ins to the 762's mutli source out? (If so, I assume I need a Y connector - L/R from 272 to 762 MS out...yes?)

Sorry Charlie(could not resist).
If it's not laid out in the manual, I dunno.
Seems simple enough, but no advise from the blind seat here.

The NAD manual isn't always real lucid. I can take a stab but I'm not feeling experimental, particularly since it's such a pain getting back there. If I don't get an authoritative answer here, I'll see if I can get someone from NAD tomorrow. Failing that I guess I'll just resort to trial and error.

Youshould be fine, Charles.
Source out to 6&7 in. Tape monitor, maybe.
The machine is built to protect itself from guys like me, so you will be fine! LOL!

Nuck...we're good to go. I misread something re the multi source outs on the 762. It was actually very simple. I'm still a bit disappointed I have to use the 272 for the outdoor speakers rather than to drive the mains, but I'll live with it. Thanks for your help!

The main amp for the B speaks?
Swap the speaker leads A+B?
How did that work out?

The 272 for the B's. Haven't swapped the leads -- that's next.
