I'm looking for suggestions for a decent receiver to go with my orb satellite set up. I have 1 mod2 for the center channel and 4 mod mod1 for the rest. I also have the orb super 8 sub. My room is only 15 by 15. It would be used for movies 90% of the time. Budget is 500.00 or less. Just out of curiosity would I hear a big difference if I splurged for a 900.00 outlaw 1070..I heard those are great
I believe Orb recommends the Pioneer 815 for their set-ups. The Pioneer 1015tx is a great unit for the $400 price tag and should sound great with your Orbs.
"Big" differences are always in the ears of the listener with audio. Better equipment yeilds better sound. The Outlaw 1070 has better sound than a Pioneer 1015, but will the difference be worth the extra $500? That question never ends in an audio system unless you spent more than $100,000.
