I have a Pioneer SX 1080 receiver that I bought new in 1978 that I would like to sell or possibly trade. MY wife and 3 kids do not appreciate the sheer power that this generates, and I have been forced to go to a newer, cheaper, much lower powered stereo. This receiver is in great shape, has never been abused and is in the original box & packaging, and has been stored for approximately 5 years. Someone who can appreciate (CRANK IT) such a quality piece of equipment should own it, since I am unable to. This receiver powered through Bose 901 Series II speakers literally rattles walls at 1/4 volume! I am interested in selling it outright or possibly trading for a nice guitar amp, effects pedal/board, etc... I live in South Texas and this beast weighs upward of 55lbs so shipping will be an issue.
