Hi all, I am new here. I'd like some advice on a budget receiver.

I am looking to spend not more than $200. I'd to use to listen mostly for music (CDs, compressed audio) and some movies (perhaps virtual sound?). I am not sure what speakers I'd use?

I've seen really cheap stuff at BB, like their Insignia series, CC has Sherwood RD-6500 that seems to get decent reviews... Plus all the other contenders like Onkyo, Sony, etc...

What would you all recommend for my needs?
Thanks!

that is actually a very VERY good combo, with rich, smooth sound that belies its inexpensive price.

AV123 used to pair it with its rocket tykes.
