Another newbie rediscovering vinyl. I just picked up both of these units and have some questions. Primarily, which is the better overall unit? The BD22 seems as though it retailed for more, but the B2 has more manual controls (Anti-skating, etc.) and just seems like a beefier unit. One will be hooked up in the living room with a Yamaha receiver (circa 1993), the other in a bedroom with a old, warm-sounding Pioneer (circa 1970). Insight into these options?

The BD22 is running fine and needs only a ground wire.

The B2 needs a needle and has another issue. Unit spins quietly and all seems to work okay, but I cannot adjust the pitch to keep the unit from "floating" - I cannot dial it into a constant speed like I can with the BD22. It seems as if the pitch adjustment either has no affect unless I am almost all the way to the + side at which point it seems like the adjustment is exaggerated. It is not far off from correct speed, but doesn't want to lock in at either 33 or 45. Should I look to replace the belt, or is this something else.

Thanks in advance for suggestions.
