Maybe Bose Special Ops silenced him once and for all.

Maybe he's dumped his wife and taken off with Emma to some exotic port of call.

I'd be happy to give the Emmas a review, IF ONLY I HAD THEM!!!! LOL

BTW, I get back into town on Monday, 2/13 and I'd love to see and hear the Emmas some time after that, Tim. Any chance?

If not, I'll get on the review train after TW and whomever else is up next. Thanks, Dave

Tim,

Thanks for the update. Hope that you're busier than a one-armed paper hanger, as that would be a good thing.

As you may know, I'm still listening to the Heritage speakers while waiting for repair of one of my ALs. This is not audio heaven by any means.

I tried the Ascend CBM 170s in 2 channel and they're definitely not up to the task although they were better than the Heritages, although lacking in bass.

So, I'm really excited to listen to the Emmas AND, if anywhere near the ALs, they will probably find a home with me as new fronts in the HT and as backups to my 2 channel system or a replacement as I may sell the ALs, just to make my lovely wife happy. (She really doesn't like the size of the ALs, especially now that they're simply sitting there cluttering up her room while the one woofer is in rehab.) LOL

Thanks, Dave.

I can't find your shipping address. Would you send that to me please?
Thanks.

Hi wanted to know your thoughts about the Alegrias combined with the Outlaw 970 pre pro/7125 amp to go with the Alegria Emmas fronts Rosa's center and Lings as surround speakers and possibly 2 ling singles for rears? In a modest apartment with 2 Outlaw LFM 2 sUBS

I recently (last week actually) ran that exact speaker setup. The nice thing about using the Emmas as fronts in a HT is the wide soundstage they create along with sparkling highs that are very nice during music scores. The Outlaw 7125 should match up nicely. The mids of the Rosa, Ling and Emma are very similar, intentionally.

On this set-up what were U using to power this and overall was it to your liking? Will the 2 subs be overkill? The last review on the Emmas floored me and I'm willing to take the risk based on that alone since I want to have my cake and eat it too.
50/50 music/home theater but mostly like Jazz/fusion Funk with world music

120w/ch 5.1 receiver and two high powered subs. Sounded great. Played Beth Orton, Tierney Sutton, Moby, Monty Alexander and the Rolling Stones Halftime Show. My HT is 16'W x 8'H x 30'L with some acoustic treatments.
2 subs in a modest apartment? Depends on your neighbors I suppose.

Ignatius, two LFM2's will bring your building down.
I appreciate your love of bass, 2 or them will come with an eviction notice.
Now the 990 has 2 chanells of bass management, one LFM1 and one LFM2 work very well. They roll on like twin turbos.

Welcome back,
Your dreams were your ticket out.

Welcome back,
To that same old place that you laughed about.

Well the names have all changed since you hung around,
But those dreams have remained and they're turned around.

Who'd have thought they'd lead ya (Who'd have thought they'd lead ya)
Here where we need ya (Here where we need ya)

Yeah we tease him a lot cause we've hot him on the spot, welcome back,
Welcome back, welcome back, welcome back.

Do they still write songs like that?

Two subs can help break up room problems if they are placed properly and tuned according to the room requirements and not just cranked for max effect (which will often be obnoxious boom that will upset everyone but you). Put "subwoofer placement" into a search engine and find out how to place two subs in one room.

T-Man,

Welcome back and hope your life gets back to normal quick. Between you and Edster, it's not been a great beginning to the new year.

But, I've got a pair of Tim's Emmas also so we can have dueling reviews. Ain't either of us going to match Jan's blurb but then I can barely walk and chew gum anyway. LOL
