I have been doing some research and have decided to purchase a Denon. My question to everyone is whether or not it is worth $200 to upgrade from the 1803 to 2802? Is there that much of a difference between the two receivers once you get past the additional inputs/outputs?

If the 2802 has the active 7th channel then it might be worth it for future formats. The 2802 should also have a higher wattage per channel than the 1803. Also, if the Total Harmonic distortion is lower (THD <.5 versus THD <.8) then again your distortion in the higher volume levels will be less with the 2802. Hope this helps.
I assume you have already made your purchacing decision but as long as you don't need the extra power then some people do like the multi-room/multi-source of the AVR1803. Now that the AVR2803 is out maybe the point is moot.
