Seems like both of these units are around the same price ($500) and have similar features. I will be using the receiver for mostly movies with my 5.1 polk 6900 setup (eventually upgrading the fronts to make 7.1)...Any suggestions on which one to go with?
It seems like the yamaha has more surround modes and more optical connections...where the pioneer has less surround modes, less optical connection, but 1 more component connection.
