McIntosh MHT 200

Unregistered guest
I am putting in a home theater and want to know whether someone has experience w/ McIntosh. Is it really worth the money? Matching w/ Focal JM Labe 826s speakers. Any thoughts would be helpful.

Thanks

McIntosh is to my ears some of the finest sounding audio gear money can buy. It's also like purchasing a fine german automobile in that it holds it's value due to it's fine build quality.

If a stereo rookie ends up with McIntosh, you've made it to The Show.

I guess I should mention the Mac tube amps I use are over forty years old and run all day, every day. Not much sounds better and what does (slightly) makes McIntosh look inexpensive.

^^ I went the same path as Jan and bought an older Mcintosh but is solid state. I should get it on tuesday so I will let you know how I like it.

I heard one of the new stereo 200 watt integrated amplifiers and it sounded amazing! :-)
